INSTALLATION GUIDE

General Installation Instructions

     For MAC Users:  Double click the .pkg installer for automatic installation. 

          * Legacy users will need to bypass the security warnings (in System Preferences) and restart the DAW.

     For PC Users: Double click the .exe installer for automatic installation.

        * Legacy users will need to place the appropriate 32 bit or 64 bit DLL file, in your VST folder. This is usually C:/Program Files/VSTs 

Installation Help

Acid:

     Acid is not a supported format, but it does work with some versions. We do not offer customer support for Acid.

Ableton:

     Go to Options> Preferences then click File Folder on the left side. Click the ‘Browse’ button and select your VST folder. Once it has been                    selected, click ‘Use VST Plug-In Custom Folder’ to make sure it is turned on. There may be a delay when you click the option as it scans your plugins (at the bottom of the Ableton screen in the left hand corner).

Adobe Audition: 
     Adobe Audition is not a supported format.  We do not offer customer support for Adobe Audition.

     Click on the ‘Edit’ button on the top left corner of ‘Audition’.  Go to the Effects menu and click ‘Add/Remove VST Directory’ . Click the ‘Add’            button and select the folder where your VST plugins are installed to. Press OK. If you don’t see your plugin, go to Effects> Refresh Effects List.

Cakewalk:

     Windows: The default location for VST plugins is:  C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins

Cubase:

     Go to Device > Plug-in Information and click the VST 2.x Plugin Path button. Then click the ‘Add’ button and select the folder where you                    installed your VST plugin. Press OK, then click the Update button. 

     The location path is:  C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins.

     The alternate VST2 location paths may be: 

        C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2

        C:\Program Files\Steinberg\[Application]\VstPlugins

Digital Performer:
     Navigate to the Mixing Board screen, then “right click” on a track insert and choose “Audio Plugin Preferences”.
 In the section “Additional VST Plugin Folders”, click the ‘Add’ button and choose the folder where you installed the plugin(s)

Finale: 
     Finale is not a supported format.  We do not offer customer support for Finale.

     To add a new VST instrument into Finale, click on MIDI/Audio> Device Setup > Manage VST Plug-ins. Click the ‘Add’ button and select the                folder where your VST instrument plugin is installed. Then, click the Refresh Plug-Ins Lists button. To use VST plugins, make sure that the ‘Play Finale through VST’ option is checked under the MIDI/Audio menu.

FL Studio:
     Go to Options > File Settings. In the section for “VST plugins extra search folder”, click the ‘Add’ button and choose the folder where your
plugins are installed.

Garage Band:  

     The location path is: Macintosh/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

Logic Audio:  

     The location path is: Library/Audio/plug-ins/components

 

Mac El Capitan:  

     The default setting for El Capitan only allows apps from the Mac App Store to be installed.  You must change this in your Security Preferences to allow the installation of 3rd party software and plugins.  Simply click on the button “Allow Apps Downloaded From Anywhere”.

MultiTrack Studio:

     Windows: The default location for VST plugins is: 

        C:\Program Files\MtStudio\VSTplugins . CLICK HERE for more information.

     Mac: The location path is: Library/Audio/Plug-ins/VST folder.

Nuendo:

     Go to Device > Plug-in Information and click the VST 2.x Plugin Path button. Then click the ‘Add’ button and select the folder where you                     installed your VST plugin. Press OK, then click the Update button.  The location path is:  C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Vstplugins.

Pro Tools [MAC] (10.3.5 & above):  

     The location path is:  Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-ins

Pro Tools [PC] (10.3.5 & above):  

     Move the .aaxplugin file to the Plugins folder at: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins (AAX)

Reaper:

     Go into Options> Preferences> Plug-ins> VST.  Click the Add button and choose the folder where the plugin are installed.  Please visit these links for more information:

Sibelius:
     Sibelius is not a supported format.  We do not offer customer support for Sibelius.

     Install the plugin into C:\Program Files (x86)\Avid\VSTPlugins.  

Sonor:

     Go to Utilities> Cakewalk Plug-in Manager. In the VST configuration section, click on Options then click Add and select the folder where the VST plugin is installed. Press OK and click the Scan VST Plug-ins button.

Soundforge:

     Soundforge is not a supported format, but it does work with some versions.  We do not offer customer support for Soundforge.
         Click on Options> Preferences> VST Effects. Click the ‘Browse’ button next to the Default search folder.  Then, select the folder where your VST plugins are installed. Click the ‘Refresh’ button at the bottom of the page.

 

Studio One: 

     Download the Cubase version and place the .dll file into the appropriate Studio One folder.

     The VST2 location path is usually: 

        C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\VST2

        C:\Program Files\Steinberg\[Application]\VstPlugins

     Go to the Studio One menu and choose ‘Options’ to open the options window. Click on ‘Locations’, then click on ‘VST Plug-Ins’. Click the ‘Add’ button and select your VST Plugin folder. Press OK.  Then, you must close and re-open Studio One. If you still don’t see your plugin, go back and click the “reset blacklist” button.  Then, close and open Studio One again.

Vegas Pro:

     Vegas Pro is not a supported format, but it does work with some versions.  We do not offer customer support for Vegas Pro.
       Click on Options> Preferences> VST Effects. Click the ‘Browse’ button next to the Default search folder.  Then, select the folder where your  VST plugins are installed. Click the ‘Refresh’ button at the bottom of the page.

WaveLab: 

     Drop .dll file into the VST folder.

     The location path is usually:

        C:\Program Files\WaveLab\Plug-ins
