M1 Limiter Lite ~ Output Settings

Digital Masters and CD’s are able to handle the highest possible levels, so we recommend setting the Headroom to -0.01dB

If you are creating an MP3, we recommend setting the Headroom to -0.30dB.  This level helps to reduce CODEC distortion during the conversion process.

If you are sending your song to iTunes, Apple recommends -1.0dB of Headroom.  Please CLICK HERE for more information on iTunes.

If you are sending your project off for Mastering, you should set the headroom to -3.00dB to allow some extra headroom for the Mastering Engineer.

If you are sending your project for TV broadcast, set the Headroom control at -4.50dB.

The EBU PAL level only allows maximum peaks at -4.5 dB.
